These terms cover buying a hako from hakoshop.com. hako is sold by Jared Perlmutter, Texas, USA.
Pre-orders
Founder Edition units are built by hand after you order. You're charged when you place your order. I'll give you an estimated ship date and email you if it changes. You can cancel for a full refund any time before your box ships.
Prices
Prices are in US dollars. Shipping is shown at checkout. Import taxes, VAT and duties are your responsibility unless they were collected at checkout. See shipping & returns.
Returns and warranty
You can return a hako within 30 days of delivery. Every hako has a 2-year warranty against defects: I'll repair or replace it. After 2 years, I'll repair it at the cost of parts and shipping. Details are on the shipping & returns page. This doesn't affect any rights your local consumer law gives you.
Software
hako updates its own software over the internet. Updates are signed, and you can turn automatic updates off in the device's settings. The hako add-on for Anki and the desktop app are free.
Liability
hako is a desk display, not a safety device. To the extent the law allows, my liability is limited to the price you paid.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Texas, USA, except where the consumer law of your own country gives you more protection.
